Play the Name Game!

By: Lee | July 11th, 2009

As you might have heard, the name of the Vancouver MLS team is a bit in limbo. 99% of people I’m guessing want the Whitecaps name – and the history that it carries – make the jump as well.

But hey, instead of me saying so, let’s have a poll!

What should the Vancouver MLS team be named?

How can they not be the Whitecaps? They’re messing with destiny here. For the I-5 rivalry to remain intact, the Timbers need to stay the Timbers and you guys need to stay the Whitecaps. That’s just the way it is.

I like Whitecaps, but is the FC necessary?

YES. WE MUST COPY EUROPE IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE.

I cringe every time I hear Real Salt Lake. What king ordained that team as such? His majesty of Utah?

The Whitecaps unlike a lot of other North American Teams are a soccer club. They’ve got a whole youth pyramid of clubs, so the FC makes sense.

As a Timbers supporter, I’m hoping for Whitecaps also. How it was is how it should be.
