NCC – The Disgrace
By: Lee | June 19th, 2009Shocking. Devastating.
All we could do was watch.
I, like most rational people, did not think Toronto would be able to win by four goals, no less five. After the Impact scored that penalty, I thought we had it in the bag.
But before I expectantly drag out my frustration as Whitecaps supporter, I would also like to note some good things that happened last night:
As a supporter of the game in Canada, last night’s game was very entertaining and will certainly boost the profile of the game. It will be remembered, albeit very differently depending on whom you support.
Toronto FC fans are already calling it the “The Miracle in Montreal”. Impact supporters will have trouble swallowing “The Humiliation” against their bitter rivals, especially after “The Collapse” against Santos Laguna.
For Whitecaps fans, this game will simply be known from now on as the “The Disgrace.”
The level of effort the Impact players and staff put into this game is shameful. In fact, the team’s performance in this tournament is shocking: they have 0 points and a -9 goal differential. I can’t even imagine how pissed of the Ultras Montreal are right now.
However, I can’t be too upset: we can hold our heads up high that only by a ‘miracle’ could a team from a superior league beat us. With our rising young stars, our time will definitely come, sooner than most people think. I wish Toronto FC the best of luck in representing Canada at the Concacaf Champions League.

Indeed, the Ultras are pissed off to the point of only showing up at halftime tomorrow.

I feel like time is going incredibly fast and slow at the same time. The weeks/months seem to be crawling…but at the same time, I turn around on Monday and suddenly it is Sunday again

To add insult to injury, Montreal defeated Vancouver today 2-1. Go figure… I guess they felt that if they wouldn’t repeat as a Canadian USL surprise, nobody would…

Blame that loss vs TFC on the Impact’s coaching priorities…

Normal boots do cover your feet but do not provide them desired warmth consequently your feet go numb, letting you down and uneasy all the time. Ugg boots will keep you cozy and let you enjoy with your loved ones in the snow. Apart from that, they look so stylish they you can carry them on to parties as well.
